- All but one NBA expert at ESPN picked the L.A. Lakers to beat the Utah Jazz. Henry Abbot of TrueHoop picked the Jazz in six. Adande, Ford, Legler, Rose, Sheridan and Stein thought it would go seven. Broussard, Hollinger and Thorpe think it will end with the Lakers winning in Salt Lake City to close out Utah in six. John Hollinger made the switch from favoring the Jazz to now favoring the Lakers.
- David Thorpe of Scouts, Inc. breaks down the Jazz-Lakers matchup. As mentioned above, Thorpe picks the Lakers in six because “…in the end I see the better team winning the most games. And that team is Los Angeles.”
- Ross Siler of the Salt Lake Tribune used to cover the Lakers. He shares some of his observations on Kobe Bryaant, Vladimir Radmanovic and Andrew Bynum here and Lamar Odom, Ronny Turiaf and Luke Walton here.
- Kobe Bryant calls Deron Williams “Little Cadillac” and D-will thinks Kobe is a decent player as well.
- Free Darko has a Jazz-Lakers preview on Deadspin. Apparently the Jazz go as Deron goes and Deron goes as CP3 goes. So for the Jazz to beat LA, Chris Paul has to play out of his mind!
